Tallebudgera Valley Landscaping Project 05/07/2017

This project was always going to be on a mass scale, and rightly so as this particular family were on the expand.

Project Description:

This project was always going to be on a mass scale, and rightly so as this particular family were on the expand. Meeting the couple, they had just had their first child only a year ago, soon to be another on the way, and wanting to transform the backyard existing acreage into a family sanctuary that the whole family could indulge in. The owners were planning on installing a pool which was chosen by Barrier Reef Pools, the ‘Monaco’ 10.5m. The rest of the acreage was for the Harvest Landscapes team to explore with a $50,000 price tag to boot.

The job was to be broken up into multiple stages, the retaining wall being the first before the pool was even installed. The crew from Harvest had excavators and a bobcat to build up the top area 750mm raised of soil and fill, then levelled out to suit.

The retaining walls were next including footings of concrete with reo bar with multiple courses of blocks to raise up beyond the finished level of 750mm to another 550mm to form a planter box around 2 sides of the entertaining area. Next was stage 2.

Once the pool was complete the Harvest Landscapes team were straight back to work on the paving around the pool, spa and entertaining area. Along with the client, we managed to find a suitable product that made the place really come to life! Travertine was the product that enhanced the natural environment in which this family so wanted to have. The pool coping was done in a rebated 100mm paver 600mm x 300mm throughout with a deck incorporated into the centre of the entertaining area as well as the sundeck/pool filtration/water feature hinged on gas struts, along with an open air pergola.

The clients were over the moon with every stage and process which the team from Harvest Landscapes & Construction provided, and the time frame in which such a superior job was completed. Corey the director of Harvest still keeps in contact with the family, who have since had a third child and still love to entertain in this showcase house and backyard. Since this picture was taken it was entered into a pool award competition, which won GOLD in the surrounding area.
